Challenge
Kelly Smith, author of Sunny and Coco’s A-Z of Surfing, wanted to merge her passion for surfing, fitness and learning with her desire to be a self published author. She came to us for advice on printing her first ever childrens book and needed a cost effective solution that also delivered on quality and durability for young readers.
Solution
By choosing a 3mm hard case bound cover protected with a matt plastic celloglaze coating for extra durability we were able to deliver a robust product suitable for our client's requirements. Because of the size of the print run and nature of the book it was more cost effective to work with our offshore suppliers than produce the job locally.
Result
Because Kelly didn't have a daytime address that could easily receive the books from Brisbane port, the job was delivered to Paradigm's premises for later collection. Our client had the confidence of getting a hard-wearing book that could withstand the rough and tumble treatment of children.
